Chapter 208: One Condition
Minister Zhang rapped his fingers on the door twice before opening it, and he stepped aside, allowing Rong Yue to enter first.
"Thank you,"
"Good afternoon." Rong Yue greeted politely to the three people in the room.
The three of them had been searching for her since the Global Competition. They already knew what she looked like.
But even then, seeing her in the flesh, the three of them couldn\'t help but praise the heavens for such a creation.
"Miss Rong Yue, it\'s nice to meet you finally."
The three of them echoed their greetings before the room became calm again.
"Miss Rong Yue was delayed downstairs for about thirty minutes because she didn\'t look like the other customers here…" Minister Zhang gave them a little brief on what had happened downstairs.
After knowing she hadn\'t come late out of tardiness, the air in the room felt lighter, and the three Deans relaxed around her.
They had experience, and they weren\'t used to students like her being arrogant, so despite Minister Zhang saying he gave her the wrong time, they knew he was covering up for her.
Now that they knew the reason, they also let the matter go in their heart.
The three top schools in the capital were QianXin University, QiYaun University and JingAn University.
In overall standards, QianXin University was the best and ranked highly on every global list.
But in recent years, the other two have put up fierce competition. They scouted talents as soon as they came out of High school, and they gave them enough resources for research and everything they needed.
Because of this, they now had some alumni who could compete with some of them from QianXin University.
Now, in the capital, people would first consider their course and know if that university was the best choice for it.
"Earlier, Minister Zhang said you hadn\'t decided on your major and school. Have you decided now?" Dean Wei Yang from JingAn School started the conversation.
"Miss Rong Yue, my JingAn school is devoted to helping geniuses like you grow! If you come to our school, every resource you need will be provided."
"Your school is not the only one that can provide all the resources. Miss Rong, just this year, we have topped two global lists and won many competitions. If you school in QiYuan, there\'s no way you will regret it."
Dean Luo Wuying added, not wanting to be left behind.
"Miss Rong, have you chosen your major? You should know that our QianXin University does everything in its power to maintain our legacy. For courses that we are proficient in, it is impossible to find a better one in the country," Dean Gao Chun, who had kept quiet all this time, finally joined in.
"Also, if you choose to attend our school, a genius of your level would be given a 100% scholarship. Also, we would provide everything that you need to make your study experience flawless!"
Looking at the sleek way Dean Gao Chun talked, the other three wanted to curse at him for being so smooth, but it was their work. Everyone wanted her to join their university.
"I want to major in Biomedical Engineering," Rong Yue finally said.
As soon as she said that, the three Deans had different expressions on their faces.
Dean Gao Chun\'s face lit up while the other two had weird expressions on their faces.
The Biomedical Research department was still in progress all over the world, and it was also costly. Also, most talents would want to either study engineering or technology, while the ones that liked the medical profession did medicine directly.
Among the three schools, QianXin had the best and most developed.
"Miss Rong Yue, have you thought about it well enough? A genius like you would have many breakthroughs in the medical field," Dean Wei Yang said, hoping that he could convince her.
Rong Yue smiled gently. "The world is fast developing with many sicknesses coming up. Technology needs to prepare to meet all of these health difficulties."
Minister Zhang couldn\'t help but nod in agreement as he heard her words.
Studying medicine was good, but learning how to help doctors cure better was even better!
If one could create equipment that would finish diagnosis and cause of illness in minutes, the number of lives doctors would save would increase.
"Miss Rong, I\'m sure you must have done your research. In this country, QianXin has the best department in Biomedical engineering," as Dean Gao Chun said this, he couldn\'t help but push his chest forward with pride.
"Also, we would provide you with a full scholarship and the best research resources as soon as you need them,"
Since everything was already laid on the table, the room became quiet as the three of them wanted to hear what Rong Yue would say.
"QianXin University is indeed my first choice, and my family also thinks it\'s the most suitable for my major. However, I do have one request."
As she said, the three Deans all perked up, and even Minister Zhang was curious to know her condition.
"As long as it is something achievable in QianXin, we would do our best to get it done."
"I would like to skip the first year?"
"What?"
"Hmmm?"
"Miss Rong?"
"That\'s impossible…"
The four men all had different replies, but one common reaction was the shock on their faces.
Even Minister Zhang didn\'t know about this, and so when the other three looked at him to know what he felt, he could only shrug helplessly.
Dean Gao Chun was in the same situation, and one could already tell from his expression that this wasn\'t a simple matter.
He wanted Rong Yue to attend his school, but.. this was also not an easy condition.
